Skye Frederick Roper Reports
Hi Fans, this is Skye Roper reporting--what did Rose mean she didn't know where I was born? I was born in...a...hmmm, Missouri United States, I think or maybe Paris????She was right, we are really not sure.
Anyway, I had a story to tell, oh yes. Well, when we go out on the Porch (the deck) for a little play time we always bark and growl and make a big racket pretending we are big mean junk-yard dogs, grrrrr, like our cousin DAP. But this has lead to a baaaad habit that when we chase the ball in the house we also growl and carry on, and guess what? Mom and Dad do not like this, not at all.
We did it the other night--we knew we were playing but it sounded FIERCE, and Mom and Dad yelled at us and actually locked both of us into our own crates for a time out. This has rarely happened and we were like--what the heck? But we kinda, sorta learned our lesson and are thinking it won't happen again.
Do I have another story? Well yes actually, we are having company next week, our Auntie Kate and Uncle Jim and maybe Cass anddddd, they are bringing their doggie, Meaghan. She's a big black lab (bigger than us) and we are very excited to have another dog in our very house to play with. I will report how it goes.
Okay, that is the report from Skye Roper, love you! signed Skye

This way and that way
Okay, hi everybody, this is Rose Roper. I know we haven't written for a while--I don't know why I guess we didn't think much interesting was going on. But, there was. First off we were going to move to Colorado, which I don't know what that is, but Dad told us we were going to be Rocky Mountain dogs, whatever that is. But as of yesterday we found out we aren't moving, so we will stay Missouricorgis, I mean after all, we were both born here ( I think, I mean I know I was but not exactly sure about Skye) and so we only know Missouri.
I have a bad dog tale (tail ha ha) to tell. The other day I ran away from Momma, again, and I would not come back even after she called and called. I just looked at her and said the usual--"you are not the boss of me". But she got in the car because she saw I was really far away in the back woods, and drove over the neighborhood which is actually in O'Fallon, Missouri. (We live in Lake St. Louis, Missouri). She got over there and called and called me. I heard her but didn't respond.
When she got home she saw my footprints in the snow and called again, "Rose, Rose". I finally came to her, and you know what? Something had happened to me--I was all dirty in the front part of me like I had fallen in the creek all the way up to my shoulders, or maybe got under a car--she didn't know and I couldn't tell her, because you know, I don't speak English and she only knows a few words in corgi. But I will tell you this, I was very afraid about whatever happened, and I will never (as far as I know) run away from Mom again. It was bad....and when I saw her and she told me I should never run away again, I just kept kissing and kissing her and telling her, oh don't worry Mom, I won't.
Skye Roper has a story too, but that will be for next time, k? Love you, Rose a rita beach Roper

Hi there everybody in fan-land
So, the first thing I have to tell you is that I ate one of Mommy's favorite shoes, a navy blue Clark sandal, that she loved wearing in the summer. She didn't spank me but she did look a strong look at me, like whhhhattttt, did you do that for?? Oh by the way, this is Skye Roper, and yes I ate her shoe, the cross bits of the sandal were all lying on the floor when Dad came home and he said, "hey, who did this"? and I immediately put my ears back and went into my crate. I felt BAD. Rose told me not to do it, she wouldn't even sit with me when I was doing it. My excuse? Hmmm, it tasted good. Is that a good enough reason?
Nope I don't think so.....but the same day, in the nightime Mom and Dad went to Westonn Kennel and bought us a big chewing on bone like Uncle Joel bought us for Christmas last year, and also some deeelicious dog treats, so I think the parents knew that I did need something to chew on, but just not Mommy's favorite shoe.
Ok, this is Rose, and I have another story of us being bad dogs--I am not proud of this, but it did happen. Dad was away at work and we told Mom that we had to go pee-pee. So, even though she knew better she let us both out at the same time, and you know what happened? We kind of ran away--we, well Skye did, ran across the street, and oh yeah, later I did that too, and pooped on our neighbor Dave's lawn, and then Mom got Skye to come home, BUT, she called and called me, and I just stared at her thinking, huh, I am not coming, you are not the boss of me, I am the boss of me. So she said, ok, Rose, see ya, and went into the house. That got me a little bit worried, and I crossed back on our side of the street. THEN I heard her start the car, and I got really worried, like hey, where are you going Mom? And I got closer to the driveway, and she saw me and said, "hey Rose, come here, wanna go in the car?" And I came over to the car, and she grabbed my collar, and said, "bad dog" we are going in the house now!! And the saddest thing happened then, she didn't talk to me or look at me the rest of the day, and when Dad came home, he put on our shock collars and invited us outside, but we wouldn't go, because we were too scared of that thing. So he told us, "listen you two, do not run away when Mom takes you out", and I said "yes sir, okay". What did you say Skye???
Huh, oh well I just put my ears back again, and noooo Rose, I didn't go into my crate, I just said ok, Daddy. But remember, this time, I came back first, so there Rose. Mom has another story about us, but she is going to save it for next time. That's it for now.
Love to our fan* *that would be you Allison!

Some stuff
Hi Everybody, all you many fans out there. This is Rose. We heard that Daisy gets to play on the lake, but guess what.....not us :(. We are sad about that, but yikes it is pretty cold so we are not sure we would like it anyway. We have been lounging around the house and man, this is funny, Mom and Dad got us a stuffed animal that when you touch its ear, its tail twirls around, AND it looks like me, Rose. It is very cool, we will probably destroy it tomorrow, that's just how we are, we get too excited when we play. Oh geesh, Skye wants to talk, bye.
Hi, hi, hi, it's Skye, hey that rhymes, I am a poet and didn't know it. hee-hee. Guess what from me? Mom hasn't captured it on video yet, but, but, but, I can sing. My parents started saying to me, say "Oooo-bama", for the president you know, and I began to yodel back, a-ooooo, it is really cute, and one of these days, I PROMISE I will get it on video just for you, ok?
What else? I have been a good dog and when I get tired, I just go into my crate all by myself, and sometimes I even go into Rose's crate, it is cozy and smells really good, like her. Ok, I love you, bye-bye.

Happy Twenty-ten
The many fans of this blog (hi Allison) have been asking for a new one, so we are happy to oblige. So, we got back from Texas, we had fun and Mom and Dad told us we were really good dogs--we were, we loved the backyards as we told you as we could ~frolic~ outside as much as we wanted and we were safe.
Since Texas we have been mostly at home and let us tell you, it has been soooooo cold. Since our parents are older people we have not had the kind of fun that our cousin Daisy has had going skating on the lake, nope, our only cold weather fun has been playing on our deck. It is snow covered and slick and fun to race around, eat snow, and jump on eachother. It has been good, good enough we guess.
Hi, hi, hi, it is Skye Roper. I found a paper plate in Mommy's trash, it had a bit of leftover grilled cheese on it and I carried it around for awhile and later I am going to rip it up, oooo that's a good time.
I wish I had a good story to tell you,but unfortunately I don't, maybe next time, or Mom will tell you older stories about when Rose and I were puppies. Ok, love you, see you soon, err, I mean write to you soon.

Happy New Year ya'll
Hi Everybody, hey it is NYE and we are visiting the family in Austin, Texas. We left on the day after Christmas--we were going to go on Christmas Day but there was a really big snowstorm right on our path in Oklahoma and Texas, as well as some snow in Missouri so we put off leaving for a day, and boy, are we glad we did. The roads were hardly cleared, and it was very scary for everybody. But Daddy is a really good driver so we made it safely, whew, we were worried. In fact, Skye threw up from all the bumps and ruts in the road, but I took care of her and she got better.
Yeah, I did but it wasn't really that much fun driving this time. We have had a great time since we got here though, playing with Maxie and Reece and all the babies. It has been good and we have been told by Mommy and Daddy that we have been really good dogs, so we are glad of that.
We go home tomorrow, and we hear it is really cold in Missouri--it was 73 in Texas today, really nice weather to run around in the fenced back-yard at Ellie's.
So, this is our last blog in 2009 but watch for us next year. We will continue to tell you about our fun life as Roper D O G s, and all the good adventures we are presently having. Ok, see ya, Happy New Year, don't drink too much champagne, we won't, promise. Love, Rose and Skye Roper
